Butchering the Green Belt ~!

The title says it all ! The greener belt of the jubilee hills roads were mercilessly cut down for expanding the roads inorder to regulate the exponentially growing traffic in our city .
After spending a good four years of my life in the God's own country , i missed the lush green pastures that were spread throughout the length and breadth of the state. Like a lonely soul trapped in the concrete jungle , i used to find solace when i commuted through these roads which leads to the hitech city where geeks to slog out to foreign companies to produce quality solutions for a cheap labor.

The road that used to make me nostalgic , now stands stripped. I pondered where the famous environmentalists and nature lovers where hiding when the heart of the city was punctured where the city's rich and famous live. The fact is no body cared or had time to think. Maddening rush has blinded the people who are trying to mess up with the eco system.
No doubt that this heinous act will smoothen the traffic flow in this road but lost is the beauty for ever. It ll take a fifty more years to regain the green cover that some highly intelligent and efficient planners have cleared off.
