Rbk - Just do it !

A few months back a leading shoe major Adidas bought out Reebok shoes for grossly 54 billion USD ( not sure about the amount though) .

Reebok recently got a brand make over by cutting short its vowels. Industry might have thought it was a new branding exercise. A few probably knew that it was a drastic cost cutting exercise.

Buying out Reebok meant buying out the all the brand loyals who flaunt their shoes , as well giving a stiff competition to its arch rival , Nike.

What the marketing guru's and the analysts are busy raking their brains is that whether this move by the Adidas was a result of Shrewd Strategy to overtake its rival or they
'Just did it ' !!!
