I write this post after reading all the due respects being payed to this great man - K. R . Narayanan.
A man who has risen to the top most post in this country from literally ground scratch. A person who always was with the poor and down trodden and helped their upliftment. The reason he liked them might be because he also did struggle a lot to reach to this position after facing all the hardships. I had an oppurtunity to pass by the village from where KRN belonged. Uzhavur is the name. It comes to the left of the Kottayam high way. Who cared about this small village ? I remember it because of this human being.My classmate in engineering was from this village

Being the first dalit president of our country , he had many challenges in his tenure. Prioritizing the single party government and supporting the formation of a coalition was a major task. Not to forget the 13 day governments and the imposing of central rule in some state. All this needed true guts. His child like smile and smooth talk had a sound brain and a great heart.
