Expedition to RFC..

For those who are not aware of the acronym RFC , it is Ramoji Film City. The place which is marked in the itinerary of any outsider to Hyderabad. If we take a random poll, most of the native hyderabadies might not have visited this hotspot , or dint care to visit it. I was one among them.

It was sunday morning and as usual i got up at 10 am. Suddenly i got a call that my jigggri friend was in city with his students. So I decided to undertake this adventure on the weekend.

After finishing my daily routine the time was around 12 noon when i got out. Endless waiting for a direct bus made me restless. I carried Robin sharma s 'The Monk Who Sold His Ferrari' to read it once i got into the bus. Finally I jumped into some bus and was totally immersed in the book.I got down midway to catch a connection to DilsukhNagar. Time passed by effortlessly as i was cast in the mystic spell of the book. I was disturbed by my co-passenger who politely informed me that the bus is already in the station. I got down the bus only to find that I had no clue of this alien land. Having no clue as to how to proceed, I waited for some breakthrough. Atlast a bus which had RFC on it passed infront of me. I started running behind the bus only to realise that it was a staff bus.

The heat was really on now. Finally the lady luck felt pity on my situation and decided to help me in the form of a stranger. He introduced himself to me and said that he was also heading for the same destination to meet his parents there. We teamed up and got into a seven seater to reach the place by around 2.

The RFC gates greeted me with a shock when the person issuing ticket said that it is full there is no issuance further. All this effort was about to go in vain . Something crooked struck my mind and I asked the stranger to ask for the tickets from the people who are coming out. Finally we got two torn tickets, struck a used sticker in our shirts and got into the bus.

For the bus to start, the authority there has to give a permission. We hid our faces because a few minutes back we were begging him for the tickets and we were the only passengers boarded.Any time we could get kicked out. But that din't happen. We reached the starting point of RFC called 'Eureka'. I felt relieved.

I punched my mobile to check for the contact number of my friend. Lightening struck me when i found that i lost his contact number. How could I search this person in the ocean of crowd? I tried to announce a few times, making my announcement memorize to the person there. My mind went blank there trying to look for my friend in those strange faces.I lost hope and desperately headed to a show called 'wild wild west'. To my addi guddi luck , i found my friend there. The show was really good. It was picturised the cow boy way. After that we went to a dance show which was equally pleasing.

The RFC tour was finished with some lip syncing numbers by the Indian Idol runnur up Amit Sanaa.I joined the group in their bus which was heading back to Koti for some purchase. RFC to Koti was a blast. The mood was upbeat and the remix albums were being played at frenzy . I danced to hell with them. The good old college days flashed in my mind. Two years in professional world passed by like a whisker.

RFC was conquered for free that day . My spirit got an uplift with the remix bash we had on the journey back
