Shopping Spree..

Last week I had to undertake a compulsive shopping activity. I visited for the first time all the mammoth malls that have sprung up in Hyderabad. They are literally jam packed with people. I should admit that Retail industry has taken lots of strides in the near future. They cater to a wider variety of people with a wide range of tastes. You name an item you get it.

These malls have offlate become popular hangouts for many. Window shopping is the buzz word today. Gone are the days when people used to buy cloth pieces and then stitch them from their favourite tailors. Readymade mantra has taken over. Everything you get it as a finished product.The floor management tactics they employ is really appreciative.

These malls also flaunt lavish eateries and other stalls.Hyderabad is really trying to catch up with other metros. The improvement in the spending habits of an average Indian was an eye opener for me. After all who doesnt want to look good or sport a trendy outfit. Pure Attention grabonomics. Every garment I grabbed was above the 1000 mark or very near to it. I felt a sense of pride about the enhanced living standards in this part of the world.

I had a tough time to choose my clothes. I walked past through the endless stores till my legs began to ache.I grabbed something and settled for it. Finally my bill read a few thousand rupees. I came out of the malls which create much hype to the face the harsh reality.

Barely 50 kms from the city limits, the average monthly income of a person is less than my Shopping bill. Who cares !!!!!!
