Deutsch Diary-1

The time has finally arrived. I headed for the airport to board my first flight in my life. It was Air Emirates.After the luggage and security checks, I was guided into a tunnel which lead to the flight door entrance.I transcended into the big container which would transport me into the blue
skies.

The flight was scheduled to take off at 4.00 in the morning. We were given a window seat but it was next to the wings of the aircraft, due to which the we could'nt enjoy the arial view.It was economy class. After seeing the beautifully shot ads, I had expected something different from ground reality.My back ached to death in this whole journey.I recollected my frequent visits in general compartments of 26 hr stretch.I should admit that the air-hostesses were really courteous and friendly.Finally after all the commotion, I could see the magnanimous Dubai Airport.

It is indeed a different feeling to look down the clouds below your head.All this time I used to stare them with my head pointing upwards.The miniature world was fascinating.We landed at the Dubai Airport and headed to catch a connecting flight to Frankfurt.

The Dubai Airport is filled with huge palm trees and an array of duty free malls. We took an escalator belt which took us to the departing terminal.It was at the other end of the airport.Then we freshed up and were taken in a tram to the connecting flight.

The Dubai-Frankfurt flight was more comfortable.After initial take off , We were offered a vegetarian lunch.All throughout my journey i was suspicious of the menu and troubled the air hostesses by asking ingrediants in it. Juices were served liberally. The tv at the back of the seat was helpful. I listened to the songs of Kishore da and Nusrat saheb and watched the movie
Island to wail away the time. After a six hour flight, finally it touched down to the Europian territory.

Cold wind greeted us at the airport where we had to catch a train to stuttgart.We somehow managed to get in the train and arrived at stuttgart. Carrying the luggage all through our journey was an ardent task. We had to take a taxi to reach our destination. Incidentally we got a hindi speaking taxi guy who helped us to reach to the hotel room.

The sun was hiding in the clouds and the stars were smiling at me.
